I try to capture the light and shadow of everyday situations in a pleasing way.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Jim Gardner is a world traveler presently residing in the Philippines. His work reflects not only the local landscape and indigenous people of today’s life but a view into his past journeys trying to recreate those feelings, places and individuals on canvas. Working primarily in acrylic paints today and graphite on paper for decades his mission is to draw the viewer into comfortable or easily remembered places or experiences. Born in Milton, Massachusetts, raised mostly in New England, he spent his twenties and thirties in San Francisco and San Diego. He returned to Connecticut in his forties and was living nearby Lake George, NY before retiring to the Philippines.
